Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law and favored choice for a leadership position in the Republican National Committee (RNC), believes GOP voters would back using RNC funds to cover the former president’s mounting legal fees, viewing them as politically motivated attacks.
Trump, advocating for Lara’s leadership role, aims to reshape the RNC with her appointment and suggests a shift in leadership.
“That’s why people are furious right now. And they see the attacks against him. They feel like it’s an attack not just on Donald Trump but on this country,” she said. “So yeah I think that is a big interest to people, absolutely.”
Lara emphasized loyalty to Trump and key causes, including winning the presidency and addressing voter fraud concerns.
“Having someone like me in there I think will go a long way for people. I can assure you that my loyalty is to my father-in-law and I will make sure that every penny is used properly,” she said. “It should be going to fight for Nov. 5 for the causes that we care about.”
“The RNC will be supporting the whoever the Republican nominee for president is,” Lara said. “I think we all know that’s going to be Donald Trump.”
The potential change in RNC leadership hints at Trump’s increasing influence within the party, raising questions about future party dynamics and support for Trump in the presidential race.
