A recent Quinnipiac poll found that 67% of voters believe Biden is too old to serve another term at age 81, citing concerns about his age and memory.
Only 31% said he is not too old. Separate questions found that 62% believe Biden lacks the physical fitness and 64% believe he lacks the mental fitness for another 4-year term.
The poll underscores doubts among some Democrats about Biden as their nominee in 2024.
It follows Special Counsel Robert Hur’s description of Biden as an “elderly man with poor memory” in his report on Biden’s classified document scandal, wherein Hur said Biden could not recall basic facts about his life and career.
Some media defended Biden’s “poor memory” as acute and claimed criticism is ageist.
