Boeing is making leadership changes in its 737 Max program following an incident where a Max 9 jet lost a door plug mid-flight.
Ed Clark, the current head of the program, is being replaced by Katie Ringgold.
Notably, employee Elizabeth Lund was appointed to a new role focusing on quality control initiatives.
These changes are part of Boeing’s efforts to enhance quality and safety standards for their airplanes.
The incident led to a temporary grounding of Max 9 planes, with the NTSB finding missing bolts from the door plug.
The FAA has increased oversight of Boeing and its suppliers, halting production expansion of the Max for now.
