A recent poll found that a majority (53%) of voters believe President Joe Biden “personally profited from his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings,” contradicting claims from the media and Biden himself that he had no involvement.
Nearly half (48%) of independent voters agreed. Biden has denied any involvement in his family’s businesses, saying he never discussed them with Hunter or others.
However, evidence uncovered in investigations into Hunter Biden’s foreign business activities, including photos, call records, emails and witness testimony, suggest Joe Biden was in contact with and benefited financially from these ventures.
A 2022 House probe also found Joe Biden directly received money from Hunter and James Biden and that nine other family members benefited from foreign deals.
This contradicts Biden’s denials and has led most voters to think he has not been truthful about his role in his family’s overseas work.
