Republican John Deaton, a former Marine and cryptocurrency attorney, announced his challenge against Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren for her third term.
Deaton emphasizes his background in fighting for the working class and plans to tackle health care costs, the migrant crisis, inflation, and advocate for term limits.
“I fought for the little guy. I took on the greedy corporations and the heartless insurance companies and I won,” Deaton said. “I am running for U.S. Senate to continue my life’s mission to shake things up for the people who need it most.”
Warren, with a strong record in delivering for Massachusetts, faced criticism from Deaton for not fulfilling promises.
“Elizabeth Warren, well she promised to be a champion for those in need. Instead she gives lectures and plays politics and gets nothing done for Massachusetts,” he said.
Warren isn’t taking anything for granted and “has a strong record of delivering for working families and continues to fight hard for the people of Massachusetts,” her spokesperson stated.

Deaton’s upbringing in Detroit’s tough neighborhood shaped his determination, including battling cancer while in college and serving in the Marines.
He entered law, representing victims of mesothelioma and later ventured into cryptocurrencies.
Warren supports regulating cryptocurrencies, citing concerns about criminal misuse.
