A Harvard faculty group supporting Palestinian students posted an antisemitic image on Instagram depicting a hand controlling black figures with a Jewish symbol, triggering backlash.

The image originated from two pro-Palestine student groups but criticism focused on faculty reposting it.

The university announced an investigation while the House Education Committee, which recently subpoenaed Harvard over rising campus antisemitism, flagged the post.

Jewish organizations noted it as the latest shocking example of antisemitism at Harvard.

While the faculty group apologized, it distanced itself from publishing the post.

The incident comes after the former Harvard president resigned last month for failing to say if calling for Jewish genocide would violate policy, though plagiarism issues primarily prompted her departure.
