Nikki Haley remains in the presidential primary race in South Carolina, where former President Trump leads the GOP polls.
Despite facing criticism from Trump and his supporters, Haley vows to continue, expressing her belief that Trump cannot win the general election.
Haley said, “I promise you this, I am in this fight. I will take the bruises. I will take the cuts.”
“This is going to be messy and I’ll take the hurt because I believe nothing good comes easy. Sometimes we have to feel pain to appreciate the blessing,” she continued.
Last month, Haley said, “There will be a woman president in America. It’s either going to be me or it’s going to be Kamala Harris. And I don’t want a Kamala Harris for president. So the first thing we have to understand is Trump cannot beat Biden in an election.”
Haley admitted, “I would pardon Donald Trump because I think it’s important for the country to move on.”
“We’ve got to leave the negativity… behind,” she insisted.
Trump maintains a strong lead in the polls, while Haley faces challenges in her home state.
