A video from a New York City migrant shelter showed five NYPD officers struggling to detain a suspect as shelter residents pelted them with objects and interfered with the arrest.
The officers were called to the Randall’s Island shelter after a man was acting disorderly.
As they tried to detain the non-resident suspect, shelter residents surrounded the officers, throwing bottles, backpacks and other items while pushing forward at them.
