A suspected Florida child molester, Davie Albarran, was captured after a social media campaign led by his daughters and “America’s Most Wanted.”

The show’s hosts, John and Callahan Walsh, played a crucial role in his capture.

“We’ll catch that dirtbag,” John Walsh said prior to Albarran’s arrest. “I guarantee it.”

Albarran had been on the run since 2022 for sexual crimes against children.

The arrest was made in Lakeland, Florida, with the support of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

“I’m not a professional baseball player, but it’s better than hitting a grand slam in the World Series,” Callahan Walsh said. “This is why we do what we do, and the audience there, of FOX viewers of ‘America’s Most Wanted,’ did it again, providing justice for a family that was so desperate for it.”

“It’s better than hitting a grand slam in the World Series.”

“It’s great to have the show revamped,” Callahan said. “It’s an honor to be working with my father – huge shoes to fill.”

“It might’ve been Country Haven Drive, but it was no haven for him,” Sheriff Grady Judd said.

“He’s a pedophile. He’s a child molester. He’s the worst of the worst, and I applaud his adult daughters for working with us to capture him,” the sheriff said.

Albarran’s daughters showed courage in coming forward, suspecting their father may have more victims.

“I actually got a phone call from my sister,” Yaneiry Albarann said. “And she told me that my child had said that Davie had been sexually abusing her the last few months, and my heart dropped. I was devastated.”

“My dad was my best friend, and I couldn’t believe that he did that,” she said. “As a father you’re supposed to protect your family, not harm them.”

“I was flooded with DMs of other people that allegedly said he had also victimized them as children,” Ana Albarran said. “My worst nightmare is that I don’t catch him in time and then he hurts someone else.”

“It was amazing to get the first one,” Callahan said regarding Albarran’s arrest. “I knew it was just a matter of time. We were profiling folks that are catchable.”

The arrest highlighted the importance of public cooperation in apprehending criminals.
