Joe Biden held an honorary professor position at the University of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2021, earning over $900,000 for delivering talks and lectures, but not teaching full courses.
There were controversies surrounding his claim of being a “full professor” and teaching “political theory” for four years, with critics arguing that he never taught a single class at UPenn.
Biden’s role involved public appearances and leading the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C. He also had joint appointments in various schools at UPenn.
