The Biden administration’s policies on illegal immigration have led to a situation where states like Michigan are asking citizens to help house and support illegal immigrants.

Michigan’s Office of Global Michigan suggested residents volunteer to sponsor refugees, while other blue states have been more direct in asking for housing assistance.

“Sponsors are expected to provide support to newly arrived refugees for 90 days through acts such as greeting refugee newcomers at the airport, securing and preparing initial housing, enrolling children in school and helping adults find employment,” the office stated.

The approach has faced criticism, with concerns about safety, compensation, and the responsibility falling on the American people instead of the government.

The Biden administration is criticized for the handling of the border crisis, with the burden of care for illegal migrants being placed on citizens due to the administration’s failures.
