Vice President Harris expressed readiness to assume the presidency, sparking criticism from Republicans and support from Democrats.
This follows increased scrutiny over President Biden’s age and mental acuity, highlighted by an investigative report recommending no charges against him for mishandling classified documents.
“I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that,” said Harris.
Rep. Monica De La Cruz said, “What’s scary is that she is basically admitting that he is not able to serve,”
Rep. Gary Palmer said, “It’s two of the most clueless people that have ever been in the executive office.”
Rep. Juan Ciscomani, commented, “seen the results of the vice president’s version of serving.”
“As the border czar, she’s done a terrible job and I have no confidence that she will do any better doing anything else,” wrote Ciscomani.
Rep. Austin Scott said, “She doesn’t seem to even make a coherent statement.”
But Rep. Madeleine Dean said, “Of course she’s ready to serve. What an absurd question.”
While some Republicans expressed concerns about Harris’ capabilities, Democrats defended her readiness to lead.
