A Mexican national was caught smuggling 154 pounds of methamphetamine into California.
The drugs, with an estimated street value of $278,000, were found in duffel bags during a vehicle search.
The driver, a Mexican national, was arrested and had his entry benefits revoked.
This incident occurred during a joint regional operation aimed at combating the threat from fentanyl and other illicit synthetic narcotics.
In fiscal year 2024, about 43,000 pounds of meth have been seized so far.
