Former President Trump criticized ongoing investigations and lawsuits against him as politically motivated attacks meant to stop him from running for president again.
He specifically called out the Fulton County DA’s case against him as a “scam” due to the romantic relationship between the DA and special prosecutor that began after the prosecutor was hired.
Trump said the case should be dropped due to being “tainted.” He also criticized investigations by the NY AG and Manhattan DA as politically driven.
Trump insisted, “There is no case here.”
“It is so badly tainted. There is no case here. There was a perfect phone call. It was perfect. But by going after Trump, she’s able to get her boyfriend more money than they ever dreamed possible,” he explained.
“The case will have to be dropped,” he continued.
The former president added, “There’s no way they can have a case. The whole thing was a scam to get money for the boyfriend.”
Trump said, “This all comes out of the White House. Don’t forget Wade, the lover, he spent hours at the White House.”
He claimed, “This is all a weaponization of politics.”
Adding, “It’s all about trying to stop somebody who is killing them in the polls, and it is a sad thing to watch for our country.”
“And you’re seeing it now because they got caught. The two lovers got caught,” reiterated Trump.
Trump pleaded not guilty to all criminal charges against him in Georgia, New York, and by the DOJ special counsel.
He maintained the cases have nothing to do with law and order but are instead an abuse of the legal system for political purposes.
“It’s all corrupt stuff. It is all politics — using the law to try to stop a party that is substantially ahead, and a particular person that’s substantially ahead in every poll —including against Biden,” said the former president.
“This is all meant to stop me,” insisted Trump.
