Renowned American skier Katherine “Kasha” Rigby, known for her accomplishments in telemark skiing, is believed to have died in an avalanche at a ski resort in southern Kosovo.
The 54-year-old skier’s death was reported by Euronew.albania, with tributes posted on her Instagram account by friends and loved ones.
Rigby was praised for her high-speed, hard-driving style and notable ski descents, including being the first to achieve a telemark ski descent of Cho You in the Himalayas.
