Known for her work at KKFI and as a mother of two, she was described as a wonderful person by friends.
The victim’s friend said, “She was the most wonderful, beautiful person.”

The shooting occurred at the end of the parade, with authorities confirming one fatality but not mentioning Lopez-Galvan by name.
President Biden called for stronger gun control measures in response to the tragedy.
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said, “The celebration was marred by a shooting. This is absolutely a tragedy.”
Biden said, “It is time to act. That’s where I stand.”
“And I ask the country to stand with me. To make your voice heard in Congress so we finally act to ban assault weapons, to limit high-capacity magazines, strengthen background checks, keep guns out of the hands of those who have no business owning them or handling them,” added the President.
