Mayor Sadiq Khan has introduced a rebranding of London’s metro lines, naming them after political ideas, social issues, and migration, marking the city’s history and cultural diversity.
The new names include references to historical events such as the HIV/Aids crisis, the Windrush migration, women’s emancipation, and the ancient Royal Liberty.
The rebranding has been met with both political and historical significance, aiming to reflect a diverse range of interests and causes.
