A poll found strong support for diversity in the US but less backing for mandatory workplace diversity training.

Over 80% said diversity of race, ethnicity and religion makes the nation stronger, with 42% saying “much stronger.”

However, only 28% strongly support and 38% support mandatory diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training for employees.

Democrats were far more likely than Republicans to view diversity positively and back DEI training.

While 85% of Blacks, 83% of Hispanics and 80% of whites saw diversity as strengthening the country, Republicans were less supportive at 69%.

The poll of over 1,500 adults also showed Republicans more likely to say US race relations have deteriorated recently.
