A recent NBC News poll showed significant challenges facing President Biden’s reelection prospects.
Biden’s approval rating reached a new low of 37% as key demographics shifted away from supporting him.
“It’s great to spend time with Christian and Carter and discuss their involvement in their community and school,” Biden’s account said.

When matched up against former President Trump, Trump led Biden on a variety of issues including the economy, crime, immigration, and competence.
“Here’s Joe Biden again pandering to the black community. Americans are sick of this division. Black people make up 13% of the population yet almost 100% of Biden’s recent campaign videos. Remember what Biden said about blacks who don’t vote for him?” conservative commentator Paul A. Syzpula wrote.
“Lmao I want to meet the Biden staffer who woke up and said ‘uh, today is black outreach day. Quick. Let’s order fried chicken,’” conservative Laura Loomer wrote.
“This man buys black kids chicken fingers and talks to them about basketball and I’m not supposed to laugh??” another X user wrote.
“Yeah the Pres of the United States is in your house having dinner… so you order take out fried food and then eat out of styrofoam… got it,” another said.
Younger voters who traditionally support Democrats were also moving away from Biden.
The poll numbers were described as “difficult” for an incumbent president entering the primary season.
Biden had declined on every measure compared to 2020, with even his advantage on being “up to the job” evaporating according to Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt.
“What is most concerning is the erosion of Biden’s standing against Trump compared to four years ago,” Horwitt said.
“On every measure compared to 2020, Biden has declined. Most damning, the belief that Biden is more likely to be up to the job — the chief tenet of the Biden candidacy — has evaporated,” Horwitt said.
“It is hard to imagine a more difficult set of numbers before a reelection,” Republican pollster Bill McInturff said.
“A major through line in what ails Biden most are his travails with younger voters,” Horwitt said.
The survey paints a troubling picture for Biden’s ability to win reelection in 2024.
