Universities across the US are emphasizing gender ideology and the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda through courses such as “Decolonial Queerness” and “Interrogating Whiteness.”
Prestigious institutions like Columbia University and Dartmouth are offering classes focusing on colonialism, activism, and the Black Lives Matter movement.
These courses delve into far-left ideologies and Critical Race Theory, while also preparing future educators to propagate these ideas in K-12 settings.
American University offers a course called “Interrogating Whiteness: Privilege, Racism, and Anti-Racism.”
It aims to examine “how whiteness intersects with gender, class, and sexuality. Students develop skills for multicultural alliances and strategies for antiracist engagements.”
At Columbia University, they offer a course called “Gender Archaeolxgy,” which focuses on how “gender archaeology criticizes interpretations of the past that transplant contemporary social roles onto the archaeological past.”
Columbia University also offers classes on “Black Geographies.”
Dartmouth College offers a course called “10 Weeks, 10 Professors: #BlackLivesMatter” that intends to “answer the call of activists around the country to examine racialization, state violence, and inequality in the context of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.”
Despite public pushback, universities continue to promote these ideologies, even as polls indicate widespread disapproval of preferential treatment based on race or gender identity in corporate and medical fields.
