Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s domestic support is rising as Israel’s conflict with Hamas progresses.
According to a recent poll by Direct Polls, Netanyahu’s Likud Party would receive 28 mandates if elections were held now, marking its highest numbers since the October 7 attack.
In a prime minister matchup against his rival Benny Gantz, Netanyahu is favored with 47 percent of the sample’s support, compared to Gantz’s 34 percent.

These numbers reflect a surge in support for Netanyahu’s party compared to previous polls.
The poll results coincide with Netanyahu’s pledge for complete victory over Hamas, and follow a successful IDF rescue operation of two Israeli hostages in the southern Gaza Strip, which Netanyahu hailed as one of Israel’s most successful operations.
