Customs and Border Protection (CBP) detained 269 Chinese nationals attempting to enter the U.S. illegally, contributing to a total of over 20,000 Chinese illegal immigrants encountered in the past five months.

Chinese nationals represent the fastest-growing group of illegal immigrants at the southern border, often using social media platforms like TikTok to find smugglers and traveling through countries like Ecuador before reaching the U.S.

Former President Donald Trump expressed concerns about the influx, suggesting a potential national security threat and the possibility of the Chinese Communist Party directing this migration.

Trump said, “I believe so. And I believe we’re going to have a terrorist attack. 100%.”

“And they were mostly men, almost all men from the age of 18 to 25. So what’s that all about?” inquired the former president.

This surge aligns with the ongoing debate between Republicans and the Biden administration on border security and immigration reform, with millions of illegal immigrants encountered at the border since Biden took office.
