President Biden’s new TikTok account gained over 67,000 followers in its first day, despite having previously banned the app over national security concerns.

The campaign defended the move as a way to reach young voters, but the White House maintains concerns about the app’s use on government devices.

“Lol hey guys,” the TikTok caption read. “Chiefs or Niners?,” Biden was asked.

“Two great quarterbacks, hard to decide, but if I didn’t say I was for the Eagles, then I’d be sleeping alone. My wife’s a Philly girl,” Biden said.

“Jason Kelce or Travis Kelce?” Biden was asked. “Mama Kelce. I understand she makes great chocolate chip cookies,” Biden said.

“Deviously plotting to rig the season so the Chiefs would make the Super Bowl? Or are the Chiefs just being a good football team?” he was asked.

“I’d get in trouble if I told you,” Biden said.

“Trump or Biden?” he was asked. “Are you kidding?” Biden said, laughing. “Biden.”

The FBI and FCC have warned about potential data sharing with China.

Despite criticism, the campaign sees the platform as a vital way to engage with younger demographics.

“The President’s TikTok debut last night — with more than 5 million views and counting — is proof positive of both our commitment and success in finding new, innovative ways to reach voters in an evolving, fragmented, and increasingly personalized media environment,” Biden reelection deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty stated.
