Former President Donald Trump released a Super Bowl ad targeting former Gov. Nikki Haley in South Carolina, highlighting their differing views on Social Security.

The ad features clips of Haley discussing Social Security and Medicare, with a referee calling her claims false.

Trump has previously said, “Under no circumstances should Republicans vote to cut a single penny from Medicare or Social Security.”

Haley is shown in a clip saying, “The fact that Donald Trump says I want to cut Social Security or raise the age. I’ve never said that.”

Trump’s ad challenges Haley’s statements and presents contradictory clips from her interviews, emphasizing her stance on increasing the retirement age.

Haley is shown in another clip being asked, “Social Security, Medicare, how would you manage the entitlements?”
“We say the rules have changed,” answers Haley.

“What we do know is 65 is way too low and we need to increase that,” emphasizes the former governor.

Haley is again shown saying, “We change retirement age to reflect life expectancy.”

“I think the call is pretty clear, but let’s go down to the field and see what official Gene Tunni has to say,” says the football announcer.

The referee says, “After review, Nikki Haley clearly said she plans to change the rules, and raise the age of social security. This results in cutting benefits for 82 percent of Americans.”

“That was a rookie mistake by Haley,” concludes the football announcer.

The referee ultimately rules that Haley plans to change the rules and raise the age of Social Security, potentially impacting benefits for a significant portion of Americans.
