President Joe Biden’s popularity has declined in Colorado ahead of the state’s primary next month, with only 40% of registered voters holding a favorable opinion of him, marking an 18% drop since January.
Despite this, Biden still leads former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical general election contest, with 49% to 41%.
The survey also revealed that 56% of Colorado voters approve of a court ruling barring Trump from appearing on the state’s GOP primary ballot and that 61% believe Trump engaged in an insurrection three years ago.
Pollster Andrew Baumann acknowledged Biden’s poor numbers but highlighted that he still leads Trump by 8 points.
