A 62-year-old man was killed on a beach in Mexico after a plane carrying Canadian skydivers made an emergency landing.
The victim’s wife was unharmed. Four Canadian skydivers and a Mexican national were onboard, all of whom are now in stable condition.
“To the family of the person who died, we will provide all the necessary support and accompany them in the face of their irreparable loss,” State Governor Salomon Jara wrote on X.
The cause of the emergency landing is unclear.
The plane, a Cessna Caravan, had the branding “Skydive Puerto Escondido” and offered skydiving experiences.
