Stephen Chase Randolph, a Kentucky man, has been convicted on felony charges related to assaulting a police officer and engaging in civil disorder during the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

He was also convicted on a misdemeanor charge for committing an act of violence on Capitol grounds.

Evidence presented in court showed that Randolph was involved in breaching a restricted area at the Capitol and assaulting police officers, resulting in injuries.

He was identified through photos and social media posts and admitted involvement when approached by undercover FBI agents.

The sentencing is scheduled for June, and federal authorities have charged over 1,200 individuals in connection with the riot, which aimed to disrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s election win.
