Massachusetts police detective Duane Danforth, off-duty at the time, was arrested at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT theme park for allegedly shoving a deputy, threatening staff, and holding a child while appearing intoxicated.
He faces charges of battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer without violence.
Danforth, placed on paid administrative leave, remains under internal investigation by the Brookline Police Department.
The incident involved Danforth attempting to enter a private event area, allegedly threatening and shoving staff, and resisting arrest.
He has been released on reduced bond with special conditions, including surrendering firearms and not returning to EPCOT.
