Rudy Giuliani has stated that the Trump 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee owe him $2 million in legal fees.
This claim was made during a meeting with creditors and the U.S. Trustee’s office as part of his Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filing.
Giuliani clarified that the claim is against the campaign and the RNC, not against Trump personally.

He explained that while he was reimbursed for expenses, he was never paid a salary for his legal work following the 2020 presidential election.
“I got paid expenses, but I never got a salary,” Giuliani said.
“When we submitted the invoice for payment, they just paid the expenses. Not all, but most. They never paid the legal fees,” he said.
“She asked all the right questions and I gave her all the information that I have. I have nothing to hide,” Giuliani later said.
Giuliani also mentioned facing financial challenges after his law license was suspended in the aftermath of the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
Giuliani’s advisor emphasized his hard work and criticized the perceived politicization of the justice system.
Giuliani has “earned everything he has in life through honest hard work,” adviser Ted Goodman said.
“The American people are waking up to the abhorrent weaponization of our justice system for partisan political gain, and the fact that we are here today is just another example of this great injustice,” he said.
