Rudy Giuliani testified in a federal bankruptcy court, claiming that Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee owe him around $2 million for his legal efforts to challenge the 2020 election results.

Giuliani stated that Trump asked him to lead the legal effort to contest the election outcomes, but he was never paid his legal fees, amounting to approximately $2 million.

“I wouldn’t be bankrupt, up until that,” Giuliani said.

“At that point, he had a tremendous number of complaints that there had been fraud in the election,” he said. “He asked me to lead that effort.”

“Once I took over, it was my understanding that I would be paid by the campaign for my legal work and my expenses to be paid,” he said.

“When we submitted the invoice for payment, they just paid the expenses. Not all but most. They never paid the legal fees,” he noted.

Giuliani has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy following a $148 million defamation judgment.

He also faces significant financial liabilities from lawsuits and owes substantial amounts in damages.
