Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed confidence in achieving complete victory over Hamas within months, emphasizing the importance of not allowing any part of the organization to survive.
He highlighted the need for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to operate freely in Gaza to protect Israelis, regardless of who governs the region.
“Tonight, I have come to tell you one thing: we are on the way to complete victory,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu also mentioned his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and stressed that Israeli victory over Hamas would enhance prospects for good relations with Arab states.
This statement followed the public disclosure of Hamas’s counteroffer for a new hostage deal, which included various demands such as the release of Palestinian terrorists and the provision of aid for Gaza’s reconstruction.
