Rafael Govea Romero, an illegal immigrant, has been indicted on capital murder charges for the brutal killing of 16-year-old Lizbeth Medina in Texas.

The indictment details the intentional nature of the crime, including burglary, robbery, and sexual assault attempts.

Lizbeth’s mother, Jacqueline, is determined to seek justice and be involved in the legal process.

Medina, said, “It’s very disturbing to me.”

“I don’t want to miss anything at all, not if I can help it, because my baby deserves justice, and I want to be part of it,” she continued.

“I believe the burglary from 11/13/2023 could have a connection with the murder suspect,” wrote an Edna police officer.

“I believed the suspect of this murder was at large and a present danger to the community,” they continued.

The sequence of events leading to Lizbeth’s murder, including a prior burglary and the suspect’s subsequent arrest, is also outlined.

Jacqueline is left with unanswered questions as she awaits the unfolding of Romero’s case in court.
