The Democratic Party has experienced shifts in party preferences among various demographic groups in the United States.

While Democrats have gained ground among college-educated Americans, they have seen declines in support among Black and Hispanic adults, as well as adults aged 18 to 29.

The party has lost ground with men and non-college-educated adults.

This has led to a decrease in the overall percentage of U.S. adults identifying as Democrats or leaning Democratic.

The Republican Party has maintained strong support among certain groups, including those who attend religious services weekly and residents of rural areas.

The data also indicate significant changes in party affiliation based on educational attainment and age.

Overall, the Democratic Party’s declining support among key demographic groups has resulted in a weaker position relative to the past quarter century, while the Republican Party has maintained its strength among White adults.
