The “60 Minutes” segment highlighted the ease with which Chinese migrants are illegally entering the US through a gap in the border fence near San Diego.

The report revealed the organized nature of these crossings, with migrants arriving every 30 minutes in SUVs driven by smugglers.

The migrants are confident due to the belief that they won’t be sent back, as China often refuses to take them back.

“We were surprised to see the number of people coming through from China — nearly 7,000 miles away,” CBS’s Sharyn Alfonsi said.

“Last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 37,000 Chinese citizens were apprehended crossing illegally from Mexico into the U.S. — that’s 50 times more than two years earlier,” Alfonsi said.

Naturalized immigrant Jerry Shuster said he “knocked on this door” when he came to the United States. He didn’t “bust the door down to come in here.”

“You came through the front door,” Alfonsi said.

“I came through the front door,” Shuster said.

“They come through the hole like they’re coming to their own country over here,” he said. “And nobody [does] nothing about it.”

“They come with the suitcases; they come prepared with the computers just like they got off on a Norwegian cruise ship yesterday,” he said.

Border Patrol agents are unable to prevent these illegal entries, and the situation has escalated, drawing attention from mainstream media.

The report raised concerns about the Biden administration’s border policies and the need for effective enforcement.
