A forthcoming special counsel report is critical of President Joe Biden and his aides’ handling of classified documents found at his home and former office but does not recommend criminal charges, according to The Washington Post.

Special counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into the discovery of classified material from Biden’s time as vice president is expected to be released soon.

In contrast, former President Donald Trump is facing charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents, with accusations of unlawfully retaining national defense information, obstructing justice, and making false statements.

The report emphasizes differences in the number of documents involved and the level of cooperation in the two investigations.

Biden’s aides attribute the presence of documents at his locations to “sloppy staff work.”
