Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-IN) has reversed her decision not to seek reelection for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District, citing the need to address important national issues amid failed leadership in Washington, D.C.

Her initial decision to step back from politics was driven by a desire to spend more time with her family, but recent developments and a sense of duty have led her to continue her political career.

Rep. Spartz said, “Looking where we are today, and urged by many of my constituents, I do not believe I would be able to deliver this Congress, with the current failed leadership in Washington, D.C., on the important issues for our nation that I have worked very hard on.”

“As someone who grew up under tyranny, I understand the significance of these challenging times for our Republic, and if my fellow Hoosiers and God decide, I will be honored to continue fighting for them,” she continued.

Spartz, known for her conservative views, has been a prominent figure in Republican politics for over a decade and has now stirred the political scene in Indiana with her decision to run for reelection.
