Elizabeth Warren appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and engaged in a rehearsed routine, making a reference to a conspiracy theory involving Taylor Swift, the NFL, and President Joe Biden.

The supposed joke drew mockery for Warren on social media, and some questioned the potential impact of a Super Bowl endorsement from Swift on Biden’s presidency.

“Before we get into anything else to talk about,” Colbert said.

“Taylor Swift won big at the Grammys last night. Was that Phase 1 of the Democrats’ deep-state plan for the Chiefs-”

“You bet!” Warren said. “And all I can say to Donald Trump is: ‘Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate.’”

“Listen, there is no way that I could have scripted that one, let’s just put it that way,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said when asked of Taylor Swift’s impact on NFL ratings.

Critics of Swift have condemned her political influence based on past endorsements.
