The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and has been delayed due to last year’s Hollywood strike.
The president of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees expressed deep sadness over the loss and emphasized the priority of safety on set.
“Everyone in the IA family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family and his fellow members and colleagues,” president Matthew Loeb said.
“Safety on set is our highest priority, and we will assist Cal/OSHA in their investigation in any way that we can.”
Radford Studio Center, the filming location, spans 40 acres and has been used for various television shows.
