Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mocked Republicans in Congress for their struggles with governance, referencing their focus on renaming post offices due to difficulties in passing legislation.

Ocasio-Cortez posted, “Would certainly take the pressure off them scrambling to find new post offices to rename each week since that’s the only thing they can seem to get the votes for.”

The current Congress, led by a divided Republican majority, has been notably unproductive, passing only 21 laws last year and facing challenges in basic tasks such as keeping the government open.

Recent defeats include the failure of a push to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the defeat of a bill to provide U.S. aid to Israel, highlighting the party’s setbacks.
