Taylor Swift is expected to support Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas as the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers.
Her presence at Chiefs games, along with her relationship with Kelce, has garnered attention, leading NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the “Taylor Swift effect” and its positive influence on the league.
Goodell emphasized Swift’s appeal to a younger demographic, particularly young women, and denied any suggestion that her relationship with Kelce was contrived.
“Having the ‘Taylor Swift effect’ is also a positive,” Goodell said. “Both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people, and they seem very happy. She knows great entertainment, and I think that’s why she loves NFL football.
“I think it’s great to have her a part of it. Obviously, it creates a buzz. It creates another group of young fans, particularly young women, that are interested in seeing why she is going to this game, why she is interested in this game.”
“Besides (her relationship with) Travis, she is a football fan, and I think that’s great for us,” he said.
Swift is likely to attend the Super Bowl after wrapping up the Japan leg of her Eras Tour.
