A Massachusetts police K9, Biza, a female German shepherd, successfully tracked a 12-year-old who went missing in freezing temperatures.

The child left home without permission or a cellphone.

Biza and her handler tracked the scent for over two miles, leading officers to the missing child, who was found safe and reunited with their family.

Deputy Chief Richard Mills praised Biza’s efforts, highlighting her role in the police department since 2022 and her recognition in the Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog 2024 calendar.

“Biza is a good dog,” Mills said.
