President Joe Biden expressed his intention to make immigration a central issue in his 2024 campaign if Senate Republicans do not support his migration bill.

Despite GOP opposition, Biden emphasized his commitment to pushing for amnesties and permanent protections, while highlighting support from business groups.

However, critics argue that Americans are concerned about the impact of increased migration on the economy and the workforce.

“It is great news if the President wants to make immigration a key issue for the 2024 election,” Immigration Accountability Project president Chris Chmielenski said. “People know that the chaos started when Biden took over the White House.”

“That’s what the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street are pushing for … [but] Americans [prefer migrants] that won’t directly compete with them but will complement them,” he said.

“We’re not walking away from true immigration reform including permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship for young DREAMers who came here when they were children,” Biden said.

“A vote for this border surrender bill is a vote for Biden’s open-border policies,” ALIPAC president William Gheen said.

Polls indicate that public trust in Republicans to handle immigration exceeds that of Democrats.

Republican candidates are advised to tap into the sentiment favoring the deportation of illegal migrants.

Furthermore, Biden’s immigration policies have contributed to growing economic concerns among Americans.
