ICE deported a Brazilian illegal immigrant wanted for rape in Brazil after being released into the U.S. in 2021.

The deportation comes amid a border crisis, with record migrant encounters.

The Biden administration seeks $14 billion in border funding, while Republicans demand stricter asylum limits.

“The protection of the American public from dangerous predators is the number one priority of the ERO mission,” ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operation (ERO) Philadelphia Field Office Director Cammilla Wamsley stated.

“We will continue to vehemently target individuals who pose a threat to the American public.”

ICE also announced the arrest of 100 illegal immigrants wanted for crimes, including child sexual assault and murder, and reported arresting over 73,000 illegal immigrants with criminal histories in FY 23.
