Joe Biden has been accused of lying about the circumstances of his son Beau’s death, often using it to gain sympathy.
Beau, a former attorney general and Army officer, died of brain cancer at 46, unrelated to his military service.
Biden said, “Shawn, I wish I didn’t have to make this call. I know there’s nothing anybody can say or do to ease the pain. I’ve been there.”
Of course Biden called one of the three families who lost their child in the Iran-backed drone attack annnnd he made it all about Beau, claiming he's been in their exact same position.

“My son spent a year in Iraq; that’s how I lost him,” he continued.
Biden’s recent claim that he “lost” his son in Iraq is false, sparking criticism.
This isn’t the first time he’s used this story, raising concerns about his honesty.
