President Joe Biden rallied Nevada Democrats, emphasizing the perils of a potential second Trump presidency.
He highlighted Trump’s controversial statements and urged support to prevent a Trump victory.
Nevada’s significance in the upcoming election was stressed, given its political diversity and historical electoral unpredictability.
“We have to keep the White House,” he said. “We must keep the Senate” and win back the House.
“We can say we saved American democracy.”
Biden “has been a nightmare for this country in just three short years in the White House, and no amount of gaslighting will make Americans forget about all the misery and destruction he has brought,” Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said.
Biden’s campaign focused on defending democracy, addressing kitchen table issues, and promoting his economic policies.
Despite challenges, he aims to retain Nevada’s support.
“I know from my reelection, the issues that matter to Nevadans are still those kitchen table issues,” Cortez Masto said.
The state’s importance for both parties was evident, with Trump and potential rival Nikki Haley participating in the upcoming Republican caucuses.
