Ty Cobb, former White House attorney for Donald Trump, criticized Trump’s current attorney, Alina Habba, for her handling of the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial.
Cobb described her approach as “mafia-like,” stating that she echoed Trump’s narrative of victimization and unfairness in the judicial system but ultimately lost the case.
He also mentioned that Trump’s search for new legal representation was not surprising given the outcome.
“I think she’s handled it in the mafia way,” Cobb said.
“She’s articulated his political narrative of victimization and unfairness in the judicial system and made some outlandish claims and she lost.”
“So, she is a loser,” he said. “I’m not surprised that Trump is looking for appellate representation.”
