Jay-Z used his Grammys acceptance speech to criticize the Music Academy for its treatment of black artists, citing examples of racism and unfairness.

He also referenced the ongoing crime wave in Los Angeles, emphasizing the need to “get it right.”

“When I get nervous, I tell the truth,” Jay-Z said.

“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year,” he said regarding Beyonce.

“So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys; never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”

“We want y’all to get it right.”

“Some of you will feel like you were robbed,” he said. “Some of you will get robbed.”

This comes as the city experienced a surge in crime and implemented a zero-bail policy due to pressure from leftist activists.
