Leaked audio recordings reveal whistleblower Amanda Timpson’s detailed account of Michael Cuffee’s misuse of federal funds, leading to her dismissal from Fani Willis’ office.
Timpson raised concerns about Cuffee’s diversion of grant money for non-intended purposes, prompting severe repercussions.
The situation escalated when Timpson reached out to Willis, resulting in her isolation within the organization.
Michael Cuffee, previously associated with Willis, left the DA’s office in December 2021.
“When I questioned him [Cuffee], he took me off of projects, because I questioned him,” Timpson said.
“You think your word is safe. When you reached out to Ms. Willis, she called me and told me everything. So once you reach out to her, she’s going to reach back out to me,” Timpson was told by Cuffee.
