Former Trump Organization CFO, Allen Weisselberg, is in talks to potentially plead guilty to a perjury charge related to a civil investigation into the company’s finances.
The negotiations with the Manhattan district attorney’s office are in early stages.
If a deal is reached, it would be Weisselberg’s second plea, but he is not expected to cooperate against his former boss.
The potential charges relate to testimony given in a civil fraud trial of former President Donald Trump.
The New York attorney general’s office is seeking over $370 million from Trump and a ban from doing business in the state.
