The Media Research Center (MRC) found that the late-night show “After Midnight,” hosted by Taylor Tomlinson, directed 68% of its political jokes toward conservatives.

The show’s focus on ridiculing the political right, along with Tomlinson’s commentary on Christianity and sexual ethics, has drawn criticism.

The show’s ratings have fallen short compared to its predecessor, James Corden’s “Late Late Show.”

After Midnight “featured 38 political jokes, which comes out to 3.8 per episode which is considerably less than the other five daily late night shows,” the MRC noted.

“However,” they said, “of those 26 have been directed towards conservatives, six toward liberals, and six towards those that could be deemed non-partisan.”

Many have expressed disdain for the show’s content and its perceived lack of comedic value.
